How our architecture handles a Data Subject Access Request from receipt to fulfillment—automatically.

1. Request Received

Email/form triggers Lambda function → validates request → publishes "DSAR.Received" event to EventBridge

2. Data Discovery

Event triggers multiple Lambda functions in parallel → query CRM, database, file storage → results queued to SQS

3. Data Consolidation

Step Functions orchestrate → aggregate all data → encrypt → generate PDF report → store in S3 with expiry policy

4. Delivery & Audit

Secure download link emailed → access logged to CloudWatch → 30-day deadline met → immutable audit trail created
